Sue is an Australian currently living in Nepal and works as the Gender Technical Advisor with the United Mission to Nepal, a Christian Development INGO. She is a registered clinical family therapist and counsellor and has post graduate qualifications in social science in the area of domestic violence. She has many years experience working in the family violence field, across a number of jurisdictions, and in particular with men who use violence. This work has been in the context of both mandated and voluntary Men’s Behaviour Change programmes. She has a keen interest in concepts of masculinities and the various ways power is used in relationships and is committed to engaging both men and women in the complex area of gender. We have a God who equally values and loves women and men so Sue is also committed to seeing Scripture taught and preached truthfully and to advocating for the types of respectful, transformative and life-giving relationships God intended all people to share.
